Description
The Sea Dragon 4500 Photo-Video Light is the perfect photo/video light for optimal underwater colors w/an extremely high color rendering index of 96 (see notes below) and a delightfully natural TLCI (TV lighting index) of 97(see notes below). The Sea Dragon 4500 Photo Video Light delivers 4500 lumens in an even 120-degree wide beam above water and 90-degree underwater. The 4500 light offer an unmatched 96 CRI w/its proprietary COB (Chip-On-Board) LED array that closely simulates natural sunlight (A CRI of 100 would be just like outdoor daylight). Most other LED lights offer a much lower CRI, missing critical colors necessary produce natural & colorful still images & videos. With 100 being the highest possible TLCI value, lights producing more than 90 TLCI are acceptable for capturing true, natural colors w/television studio cameras f making the Sea Dragon 4500 the perfect light for brilliant & colorful underwater video. Light has a 5600-degree K color temperature & 35,000 hours lamp life expectancy. The Sea Dragon 4500 light also offers impressive still image results & can be used as a primary source of light. Should you want to add a strobe, the 4500 light feature Auto Flash Detect mode, which cancels the light for one second when a strobe is fired. The Sea Dragon 4500 brightness can be adjusted manually or automatically w/the lights’ built-in photocell light sensor. The Auto Bright mode automatically adjusts from 450 to 4500 lumens based on proximity to the subject, helping to preserve your eye’s natural night vision & extends battery life. The light can also be manually adjusted to 100%, 75%, 50% or 25% brightness. Adjusting & directing your lighting is easy w/the Sea Dragon 4500, w/the Flex-Connect tray, along with Flex-Connect grip & optional Flex-Connect flex arm. This offers the user many lighting options, & the system is ready for further expansion w/other lights, strobe, or additional flex arms. There simply hasn’t been a photo/video light w/this level of performance in the underwater imaging market; the light will be a vital component for advanced amateurs & professionals to capture vibrant, natural colors. Part of the lights impressive performance is its powerful 50W 3400mAh lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack, that runs the light for 60 minutes at full power & 4-hours at 25% power. Battery pack charge time is 2 hours 15 minutes. Light w/its dual NBR O-ring seals is depth rated to 330′ (100m). Auto Bright mode adjusts from 10% to 100% (450 to 4500 lumens) to preserve your eye’s natural night vision & extends battery life. One button to power light on/off and select brightness. 5-brightness modes: 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% & Auto mode (10% to 100%). Hidden emergency signal mode. 1 sec blink interval & SOS signal. Push & hold power button for 4 seconds to activate (from off state). 4 hours burn time at 1125 lumens & constant brightness (55-minute burn time at full power). Quick-release button to detach light & aim in crevices & hard to reach areas. Corrosion-proof anodized machined aluminum light heads for heat dispersion & durability. Light head measures (L x Dia.) 5.6″ x 2.4″ (14.2cm x 6.1cm), weighs 17.7 oz. (503 g) w/o battery, 26 oz. (737 g) head w/battery & is negatively buoyant underwater. The Sea Dragon 4500 comes w/a standard YS mount (attached to light), 1″ (25.4mm) ball joint adapter w/ 3/16″ hex screw & hex key, Flex-Connect YS adapter, lithium-ion battery, AC power adapter international plug adapters, charging tray, spare O-rings, O-ring lubricant, O-ring removal tool, travel case & owner’s manual. Notes: CRI is a measure of a light source’s ability to show object colors realistically or naturally compared to daylight, which has a CRI of 100 & represents the maximum possible value. TLCI is a standard used in the television broadcast industry to measure the color quality of studio lights. The Lights w/TLCI greater than 90 are considered to be optimal for television cameras requiring no post-production color correction. 100 is the highest possible TLCI value. Avoid using this Sea Dragon light above water for prolonged periods of time. The light is designed for underwater use & water is needed to displace heat. The metal light head at full power will reach temperature of about 140-degreesF (60-degreesC) within a few minutes, which may cause burning if touched. A thermal sensor will automatically dim the light if internal temperatures reaches 150-degreesF (65-degreesC). Immediately turn off light if any parts of the light become hot to the touch. Having the proper lighting when taking underwater photographs is what makes or breaks the picture. The difference between a photo that is just blue & green & one that is vibrant in all colors depends on lighting. Once you descend below 15′ to 20′ (4.6m to 6.1m) you lose all red colors to the eye & your camera. The only way to bring them back out in your photos is w/artificial light. So, a strobe or light is a must if you wish to take good colorful pictures or video underwater.
